Our blog has moved to homeschoolden.com. This is the older version of our blog... which shared the homeschooling adventures of our kids who were 8 (LD), 6 (DD) and 3 1/2 (ED) (and the years up until then!). If you are looking for all our science and history packets (and math/language arts/etc!!) -- you'll find them at our new home! homeschoolden.com

Colored Noodles -- Toddler Time
For once, this is an activity that I thought
up! Many people have talked about dyeing
noodles with rubbing alcohol. I didn't like
that idea because ED puts everything in her
mouth. So--I tried dyeing the noodles with
vinegar and food coloring. I left them in the
vinegar/coloring solution for about 3-5 minutes,
then dried them overnight.
I took a bunch of skewers and cut off the sharp
tips, put them together with a rubber band.
Then I wove another rubberband between
every other skewer so they'd fan out. ED
seemed to enjoy it and now I have dyed
noodles for making necklaces and stuff on
hand as well!
